Patagonia is the southernmost region of the American continent and one of the least populated areas in the world. Millions of years ago, it underwent major geological and glaciological transformations which created mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers. Today this region is home to an extensive variety of plants and animals, many of which are native to the area.

The Hotel Salto Chico is our base for exploring Patagonia. It is the only lodge at the center of Torres del Paine National Park , home to diverse and pristine ecosystems and a place for some great Patagonia travel.

There are Programs of 4 and 8 nights (according to calendar) available year round at explora
Patagonia. In order to ensure generous time to enjoy this unforgettable experience, explora
suggests a stay of 8 nights. During Christmas and New Years there are fixed programs of 6 nights.Programs include:
• Transfers between local airport and explora Patagonia.
• Accommodations.
• Full board. 3 meals per day. Bar.
• Daily explorations in groups no larger than 8, with bilingual guides and equipment.

General Information

At explora Patagonia we offer more than 35 different explorations of varying lengths of time, from a couple of hours to a full day. On our treks and horseback rides, you can discover the untouched landscapes of this unique place, the abundant diversity of living creatures that have lived in this place for millions of years and the customs of its most typical inhabitants: the gauchos.Every evening our guides meet with you in the bar/living room area of the hotel. There, they will explain all of the planned explorations available for the next day, The maximum group size is 8 travelers, along with a bilingual explora guide.

Explorations Details

Accommodations 49 Rooms:
• Suites Exploradores: 39 sq. mt (396 sq. ft), with Jacuzzi and view of the Paine Massif.
• Cordillera Paine Rooms: 26 sq. mt (264 sq. ft), with Jacuzzi and view of the Paine Massif.
• Salto Chico Rooms: 26 sq. mt (264 sq. ft), with view of Salto Chico waterfall.
• Río Paine Room: 19 sq. mt (193 sq. ft), with view of Salto Chico waterfall. Neither a matrimonial bed nor an additional bed is permitted in this room.Parents may add an additional bed for a child 12 years of age or younger in the Cordillera Paine, Salto Chico and Suites Exploradores.
